This live and recorded webinar offers a comprehensive overview of essential dental procedures in nonhuman primates. Participants will learn to identify basic instruments and equipment, understand tooth numbering systems, and recognize differences in dentition between New World (NW) and Old World (OW) primates. The session will also cover radiology techniques relevant to dental assessment. Key topics include the principles of local anesthesia and techniques for administering local analgesia and nerve blocks. The webinar will address indications, instruments, and methods for extracting single and multi-rooted teeth, as well as the equipment and supplies needed for basic endodontic procedures, including uncomplicated root canal treatments. Speakers will discuss commonly observed dental pathologies, supported by case presentations. The webinar will conclude with a live question and answer session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the presenters and clarify any topics covered.
